What is Pelvic Health?
Pelvic health encompasses the well-being of the muscles, ligaments and tissues in the pelvis that support organs like the bladder, uterus and rectum. Strong and functional pelvic muscles are essential for maintaining bladder & bowel control and stability in core movement. Unfortunately, factors like childbirth, surgery, aging and high-impact activities can weaken these muscles, leading to pain, incontinence and other challenges.
Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy
Pelvic floor physical therapy focuses on assessing and improving the function of the pelvic floor muscles. This therapy is beneficial for women experiencing pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, prolapse & postpartum issues. With specialized Pelvic Floor Therapy approach & programs designed to strengthen, relax and optimize the pelvic floor muscles, we help restore function & balance.
Improved Bladder Control: Pelvic floor Therapy helps treat urinary incontinence and urgency by strengthening the muscles that control the bladder.
Reduced Pain and Discomfort: For those with chronic pelvic pain, physical therapy can alleviate discomfort by addressing muscle tension and poor alignment.
Postpartum Recovery: After childbirth, pelvic floor therapy aids in regaining strength, addressing diastasis recti and managing prolapse.

Meet Your PT
Hi, I’m Monica, a Physical Therapist & a devoted mom to two wonderful children. I created Empower Pelvic Health & Physical Therapy because I believe women deserve a space where they can receive the specialized care their bodies need, without feeling rushed or unheard. Over my 14 years of practice, I’ve worked with countless women facing pelvic health issues, and I’ve seen how much of an impact thoughtful, personalized care can have.
I specialize in pelvic floor physical therapy, which means I help women with everything from postpartum recovery and pelvic pain to urinary incontinence and prolapse. I am certified in Pelvic Rehab from Herman & Wallace and Pregnancy & Post-partum Corrective Exercise Solutions. My background also includes working exclusively with ankle and foot conditions including extensive rehab for Bunionectomy & Tendon repairs to help regain functional movement & strength.
At Empower Pelvic Health & Physical Therapy, I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. I take the time to get to know each patient personally, to really understand your needs and develop a treatment plan that works for you. My goal is always to empower you with the knowledge and tools to improve your quality of life, whether that’s through gentle pelvic exercises, manual therapy & myofascial release, or targeted rehabilitation for ankle and foot issues.
